Co-Owner Charlie Finkel is an accomplished actor frequently performing at the Hudson dinner theatre. He’s a pilot with 57 years of flying experience. He is a volunteer who takes young children on short flights from the Hickory Airport to introduce to them the wonders of aviation. He was a pilot and board member for Angel Flight West, for 20 yrs, flying Community members who required Medical assistance, Free-of-Charge. He was recently presented an award from the FAA for “his decades of flying without an incident”. Charlie is the current President of the Harbortown HOA in Bethlehem. In addition to flying, Charlie’s hobbies include; activities with his wife, Linda, and family, Kayaking, Golfing, and both he and Co-Owner Gene Stoker are bicycling members with the Hickory Velo Club.
Co-Owner Gene Stoker is an Electrical Engineer/Engineering Manager with 30+ years in Aluminum Manufacturing as well as Residential home construction. He spent time as a Lean Six Sigma Business Analyst and also served as the Harbortown HOA President preceding Charlie. Gene had a Self-Storage facility that was located behind Walmart on Hwy 70 in Hickory. It was voted “Best Self Storage Facility” by the Residents of Hickory in a survey conducted by the Hickory Daily Record news publication. Gene was a Coach and board member for Little League, as well as a Coach/Tournament Director for Youth Ice Hockey. Gene, and his wife Madeline, enjoy outdoor activities such as boating, paddle-boarding, dog rescue involvement, as well as Gene’s personal interest in older muscle cars and street rods.
